HEARTY CHEESE BURGERS
These simple and delicious burgers are a real treat on a keto diet. Hearty, filling and satisfying and packing a wonderful taste, they are a weekly treat in our house. I use the ‘Simply the Best Bread Rolls’ for the filler-bread and the best, leaner minced beef you can get from your local butcher or supermarket. You can choose which cheese to use and whether to gently sauteé your onion in the juices from the burgers, or have the onion raw. These lovely burgers are only 5 carbs each.
TOAD IN THE HOLE
This lovely family favourite is so quick and easy to make and gives you that really satisfying, traditional, home-cooked supper feeling. Using this blog’s Yorkshire Pudding recipe and simple pork sausages from our local butcher, I can’t think of a much better choice for a cold, rainy evening. There are 10g of carbs per serving.
POACHED EGG, AVO & BACON ON TOAST
This has become one of our favourite quick-and-easy suppers. It’s tasty, healthy and incredibly filling and satisfying. At only 5g of carbs per serving, it’s a lovely choice for a quick lunch or supper.
STEAMED MONKFISH & PARSLEY SAUCE
This is a wonderful, quick and easy, dish to prepare for supper (or even a substantial lunch). The meatiness of the monkfish provides for a filling and satisfying meal and at less than 4 carbs per serving, this is a perfect keto meal, full of flavour and goodness. You’ll need a steamer for this recipe, but this could be cooked with the fish wrapped in a greaseproof paper parcel and baked in the oven.
BACON & BRIE TARTLETS
These lovely little tartlets are so easy to make and are a delicious lunch or supper, served hot or cold, with roasted vegetables (keto-allowed veg) or a green salad. They just contain 4g of carbs each (so the men in the house can easily eat two!)
